One pick a week. Get it right and you go through; get it wrong and you are out. A team can only be used once all season, so the schedule you save your best sides for matters as much as the game in front of you.
Back to the boardA survivor pool is the same board with a different rule document: one pick per week, no team reused, elimination on a loss. The schema for it is already in place — `competitions.type` carries 'survivor' and the rule lives in `competitions.rules`.

Locking, grading, and standings are shared with the main board, so a survivor pool inherits them the day its rule is written.
