Hampton was waived after reaching an injury settlement with Carolina in mid-August following an undisclosed injury, but he now appears to be back to full health. The linebacker played in 12 regular-season contests with the Rams last season, but he will likely have to settle for a practice-squad spot with whatever squad gives him his next opportunity.
