The quarterback's signing comes in the wake of Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley suffering thumb and toe injuries, respectively, during Sunday's loss to the Bills. Reed spent time with the Ravens during training camp and the preseason, and although he has yet to appear in an NFL regular-season game, he threw for 1,923 yards with a 21:9 TD:INT and added 108 rushing yards while starting all 10 games for the UFL's Dallas Renegades during the spring league's 2026 season. Baltimore's third-string QB, Joe Fagnano, is also dealing with an ankle injury and was limited during Monday's walkthrough.
