The Patriots cut Rupcich with an injury settlement Aug. 20. The offensive guard has recovered from his undisclosed injury and has returned to the team, which is struggling with depth at his position. With Morgan Moses (foot), Ben Brown (knee) and Alijah Vera-Tucker (hamstring) all injured, Rupcich is a prime candidate for elevation to the active roster ahead of Thursday's game against the Bears.
